Vin,
There is a reasonably priced (£299) M3 here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEICA-M-3-BOD...ryZ15234QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
Since it is in the EU, there would be no tax to pay, only delivery costs.
If I didn't have a M3 already, I might be tempted.

That one makes me wish I had $500. It's exactly the look I want in my M2.

that one seems really nice! leather apart...
the only thing I don't understand is "the rangefinder seems perfectly aligned": why seems???
Another strange fact is that in the description the camera is an M3.

The M3 in the description was a typo. You can see that it says M2 on the top plate.

FYI, there is a user M3 DS for sale in the Los Angeles Craigslist for $450. I would take it if I had the money!

M2 for $525 right here in our classifieds.
Why would the government charge duty AND VAT on an old, beat up USED camera? Eh! When I biy used gear from a local shop they charge local tax. But I think US citizens are allowed like $500-$1000 duty free from aborad. Is it not the same in the EU?

no, here in Italy we pay taxes for everything... I don't understand as you why I should pay duties on an used object. But that's so.

Damn, this took minutes. Next time I PM you. But they do come
up ... This one was nice actually, only needed new leather.
For US 444 and no dings ? Don't worry about M2 alignment, its fairly
easy to fix yourself in 90%.
Roland.
