Why MP over M7? (or vice versa)

I've had two M7s. Now I own two MPs (one is .72; the other is .58). I don't like the feel of the shutter release on the M7. It comes to a hard stop at the release point, which, for me, interferes with the flow of shooting. It can also cause me to jerk the camera when firing. The MP is everything I expect in a Leica. It shoots smoothly, like my M2, and just feels right. I'm very happy with mine, and would not go back to the M7 again. Well, one thing I don't like is the super-slick cover on the MP. But I just use a Luigi case, which improves the handling, if not the reloading convenience.

The Leica MP is perfect, in the pure mechanical Leica tradition, a very Leica M. Also, the Leica M7 is perfect for the higher rapidity allowed in the classic reportage style, with a 35 mm with hyperfocal focusing. And two shutter speed are mechanical (1/60" and 1/125").
To solve this dilemma, i own both the cameras: the MP with Summicron 50 DR and the M7 with Summicron 35/2 with 8 elements.
Ciao.
