wich 50 mm summilux you prefer??

The two preasherics have focus shift and distortion and are generally soft to f8.0. I tried a few and they were all the same.

?? My pre-asph Summilux has no "focus shift" whatsoever. Only time I'm not spot-on at f/1.4 is when I'm on the move or having really low sugar.

The very first version Summilux is beautiful; not for the "sharpness" hounds, but certainly for those who care more about the image than the MTF graph.

Haven't tried any of them at or farther than f/8, though...

Agree with your assessment. Mike Dixon's pictures taken with that lens over on photo.net are really worth seeing!
