Been looking for another battery for my Fuji and found a few things
interesting, I went to my local Big camera store I found a used battery
in a box with it's instructions, so when I got home I noticed conpared to
mine that it had no orange square and it wasn't made by Panasonic. So
I called Fuji about it and during the conversation he said that the W-126
has a square orange mark and the W-126S has a round orange mark, so
back on the store's website i went and purchased another battery, it
came yesterday by UPS and low and behold it made by Panasonic and
has the orange square. So the other ones going back to the store. I don't
know if it's important about the Panasonic making it and the orange marks
but I just want to mention it to you Fuji guy's and gals. Does anyone have
with these batteries?

Iirc... the orange square only came along about the time of the X-T1 release

If I don't iirc, then earlier or later. But I'm 99% sure that the orange sticker is younger than the W126 battery, ie the W126 spent a percentage of its production with no orange sticker!

None of that means of course that the particular battery you bought is genuine, it just means that it might be!

The orange marks were there as a visual aid to help put the battery in right direction (IIRC the X-Pro1 did not have a key to stop it from being inserted the wrong way, the X-T1 did).
