hey dwayne, i looked around your blog and there are definitely some cool shots.
Thanks dude, but yea don't sell your glass man. use it. However, I'd love to own a 35mm 2.8 Ziess one day. They really are amazing. But the results with the color skopar for me have been great. They render amazing in color film as well. When I shoot color I like the Porta 400 NC works well. Besides that I always use HP5 400 but experiment with Tri-X, But my go to is HP5. Anyway, Zeiss all the way man can't beat it but don't sell lenses and use what you have, it's just a toy

yea. i am thinking of just using my skopar a bunch, and if i like it, maybe get rid of something. we'll see. the skopar is so tiny, which is awesome.

Yea I just love that about it. People really never notice me and that's the best part blending in to the scene and it renders very well. I totally considered the 35 f2.8 Zeiss though. I definitely see myself getting on by the beginning or mid next year though, I've always wanted that lens.

Shouldn't this argument be about whether you would prefer having AE or not? Or having higher flash sync or shutter speeds over something fully manual etc. Rather than which camera you'd hammer nails with?
I've owned both and sold both. The ZI was the better camera for actually doing photography, it gave you more options. If instead you want to join the Leica brigade, well you know what to do. But the amount of metal versus plastic in your camera doesn't change the photos you make. The key is using a camera you're comfortable with, for many using a Leica makes them feel confident (or develop an ego). For others it does nothing and they operate better with a camera that has things like AE etc.

As Neare said, The AE really comes in handy. I was in Lower Manhattan yesterday documenting and the AE really helped me. I really love my Zeiss.
