Would you please remove the word "old" from your post, my young friend? 😀 😀. I meant this hyperbolic, as a matter of fact most reports suggest that it is actually the best sensor in its class. I have high hopes the M8 will be even better. I will be happy to try it out 😉

I fear, LEICA will not make a lot of business with a 15mm. In fact, I doubt they will make enough sales with it to equal development costs! They are approximately 8 years too late!

You can always hope the 15mm wll bne low cost, but I think you will be disappointed:

- Super-Elmarit-R 1:2.8/15 €6500
- Zeiss Distagon 1:2.8/15 €3100
- Elmarit-M 1:2.8/21 €3000
- Noctilux-M 1:1/50 €3250

It cannot be less than €3000, we will be lucky if it is less than €4000.

I will buy it. I am unhappy with the performance of my super-elmarit, and the distagon of the zeiss is a funky design that always gives me funky bokeh, which is cool occasionally but not when i use it stopped down to f/11 or below.
The elmarit 21 is a 21mm, too long for my needs.
