just done a simple mod to enable my old Yongnuo RF602-TX to be used with DP2m !!

i have been using this wireless trigger long time back for a reason, the old model have PC-sync socket which i can use with various gear i have (MF,RF, etc). at that time i don't care what type of (I had the one for Canon DSLR). it was cheap and works !

the first time i put this trigger into DP2M, was surprised to see the it has the same pinout. what a coincident ! but somehow it refuse to fire some how.
after thorough inspection, googling here and there for some pinout of Sigma flashes (which i still don't have idea what the pin used for), some simple experiment, i finally come to a conclusion below.

RF602-TX have only 3 cables inside. 1 for ground, 1 for trigger, and 1 for high speed sync "enabled"

so i open the TX (remove one screw in bottom area and use finger nail to break the assembly apart), remove 4 screw holding the pcb-board in shoe area, resolder the wire as noted on the picture, reassembly back and test
the idea is to connect the high speed sync pin of TX to the "always high" connector of DP2M flash shoe.

it WORKS !! i can sync up to 1/800s
at 1/1000s i start to lost sync (images become darker).

not bad for a cheap TX !!

as the pin in DP2M always high, so the front led of RF602 TX lits green (High speed-sync) all the time when the camera on. i was worry about TX battery drain issue, but i believe the camera battery will drains faster than TX battery ha..ha..ha..!!:D
