Good luck, Tom. Sorry for taking so long to contribute to this thread but I couldn't really think what to say. It's a bit of a shock when this sort of thing happens. Well, yes, you know that already, but it's a shock for your friends and acquaintances too.
Cheers,
R.

I ended up spending 4 days at the hospital - which meant that I lost a Zen Morning friday. The regulars decided to visit me instead. They had made up a great "get well" card - and managed to bafflle the staff somewhat by flashing cameras. Trust me, it is a great "pick me up" when you lie there trying not to feel sorry for your self! In the end, all that really counts is your friends - everything else is fluff.

Excellent, Tom! All else is fluff...+1...after months of experiencing the same, you look like you're being taken care of rather well. Our best to you, my friend.

We can see your eyes smiling behind that card!

I am doing better - just one more day of anti-biotics (mega does!!). I will have to "wear" a small bag with a hose going into the gall bladder for the next 3-4 month. It drains a small amount of "bile" during the day. Not a Billingham or anything fancy either. I am starting to think that, the bile, is from the gall bladder - could one make up a Pyro Cat type developer from it? Shoot the film, stick it in the bag, agitate during the day, fix and wash in the evening. The gall used in Pyro comes from oak, so it is possible. One has to entertain one-self with these mind-games!!!!!
If you think like that, you are on the best way I think
Wishing all the best.

As others have already stated, it´s good to see that your sense of humour is not gone. I saw this thread yesterday morning, and thought by then that you were already out of hospital. Even if it seems I was mistaken on this, fortunately it seems you have caring people around you. That is good to see.
I hope all the best for you and Tuulikki.

The best of everything, Tom. It's good to see your sense of humour is as indestructible as ever! Not sure about that developer, though. I suspect the film would end up with a strong yellow cast.

Thanks, shooting film and trying to catch up on development. Still have recurring attacks of gallbladder "thingie". Painful like hell - but mostly in the early am - so it doesn't interfere with picture taking!

Tom -- obviously your problem is that you haven't spewed out enough bile in your lifetime. too gentle and good a man. Now you know.
