All,

It seems like a lot of people will be getting their M8's in the next few days. Lets post pictures in th M8 gallery. It will be interesting to start a dedicated online M8 gallery and see the different results people are getting.

Removal from the box is allowed, when hands are incased in clean "white" cotton gloves.

However, you are not allowed to fold, open, or otherwise use the manuals.

Don't even think about removing the camera from its plastic.

Just enjoy looking at it.:p

I personally want to see prints.

But that will have to wait until someone / anyone in the local area gets one and actually wants to share them. :)

I know what my negs look like in print from the M7 (or M2 or IIIc) - but with digital it's all about the output in print form imho - even my little canon SD200 images look nice online but in print it's a different ball of wax :D

Any member in NC getting a M8 ???

If there is, we need a regional meet-up. You shoot the M8, the rest of us shoot you with our antiquated film cameras :)

I read there's a shop in Hong Kong where cameras are specially wrapped for that hard-earned tax-loophole offshore company investment trickle play money guy who just can't get enough of putting perfectly usable things to no use on a shelf.

I prefer to use mine; I am, however, very careful. I lost my white gloves the last time somebody demanded "satisfaction"

What is the best lens for the M8?
The cheapest alternative would be the new 28mm but the camera's 1.3 cropfactor turns it into a 36mm!
and the there is the new Tri-Elmar
