Alas, the bad news is that the time might have come to say goodbye to my beautiful RD-1. As much as I'd like to keep it.

The good news is that I just pulled the trigger on a Leica M typ 240 (sold by a member of the forum). 😀 Of course, now I need the cash in order to purchase a 50mm Summilux or Summicron.

Speaking as one who started with the RD-1 and ended up with the M240...I think you'll notice the difference 😀

I don't have a 240, but I still miss that wind lever.

Mine is still my only digital camera and does more than I need. I've never printed anything above A3 size and it feels great. When it breaks I don't know what I'll do, probably find another second hand.
