Hey! It's definitely time for another SF RFF meet-up. Let's do it during the day this time and go out shooting!

You got a location in mind, Rich?

:)

my big achievement today was taking a photo of a slab of sidewalk that was hit by a piece of Sputnik several decades ago

I'm certain my shots won't hold a candle to yours, Rich.. now exactly who are these beautiful ladies? :)

Rich what is giving the two lenses the two different hues, one green the other an iridescent purple? Incidentally I noted the bicycle shot in the gallery. Didn't realize it was by one of your photo friends. Fortunately I was complimentary.

One had a yellow-green filter - the other one had no filter at all.

I see you met up with Melanie C. We need to have another Bay Area RFF meet!

This is Melanie C.? Hi Melanie.

Melanie just posted about recieving her M3 and shared her first photos taken with it. I am sure with your assistance she will get used to her camera pretty quickly.

Hi all,

It's true -- I am the "one on the left" and that is my dad's old M3.

It was great to meet up with Rich and geek out about old cameras.

I am far from rangefinder-savvy, but at least now I know I'm not holding it wrong!

P.S. -- I am no one's "womenfolk," and that's my camera I'm holding.

I loaned my girlfriend my Canonet G-III a few weeks ago and haven't seen it since!

(She doesn't like coffee, though  )

She's been getting some great results, too:

Nice one MelanieC, keep up the good work. You got an eye for the shots, post some more examples in your gallery.

Be careful what camera you lend to your womenfolk. I loaned my digi SLR to my wife for one outing, and I haven't been able to get it out of her hands since! She's welcome to it, but I won't lend her the P or the M4!

My wife has the 300D... I have a 350D now :D.

Forgot to mention that Melanie in addition to bringing a like-new M3 (w/serial number 1,1+ million) she also brought along the best looking Rolleiflex 2.8F I've ever seen...

No photos of that one though :)

Wow! Women and cameras and coffee. Heaven must be filled with such things. Welcome to the forum ladies. More ladies around recently and that is a good thing.
