Hello,
thinking about what I could be doing this summer, I thought about going to Great-Britain and find a place as an assistant at a portrait studio. The aims would be :
1- speak English (I'm French) for a month or so
2 - Learn about portrait photography, lighting etc
3 - earn a bit of money for my studies(and to process my next films lol)
Now here's the question : do you think I could actually find a place, though I don't actually study photography (rather litterature/humanities) and I'm only 18? If yes, would you know a studio I could find a job at?

I'm sure that if you are currently fairly fluent in English you should be able to get a job as an assistant at a generic family/baby/&c. studio (in the states we have the Ritz/ProEX brand proliferating the cheap portrait business) without any undue hassle. I can't speak for the Britons, but I don't think anybody over here would turn you down to hastily.
