working with external light meter with Nikon F3

shooting portraits or people with scenery background.
is someone feel that he need a different measuring the light?
as a spot meter of the F3HP, i fall sometime in a wrong
measure when i photo in scenery.

An incident meter would probably be your best bet. I primarily shoot all my cameras on manual exposure and use a hand held incident meter.

The spot ballistics on the F3 follow that of the F2 - you cannot successfully point and shoot complex sceneries with it. It is meant to be used in a meter-lock-and-recompose way.
