Decided it's time for me to sort and catalog a few hundred old 35mm B&W negs from my college days (1960's/1970's). The negs were stored in a box and have followed me all through my life. Not the best storage conditions obviously.
I scanned this one negative this morning and as stunned by the spider-web pattern of what I assume is fungus. Maybe a world record?
Good news though. Whatever it is cleaned off with easily with a solution of a few drops of photo-flo in water (though I think I'll invest in a bottle of Edwal film cleaner).
The bad news? Now I have to clean several hundred old negatives.
