Would the real Leica please stand up?

A friend of mine who heard and read, Alex Majoli, stopped using digital cameras.
Alex uses film in 2 M4-2 or M4-P bodies.

I feel the only Real Leica is my M3.
Slightly less so, My cheaper M2.
Next year M3 will be 50 years in service to my photography.
Digitals are continually "upgraded".
M3 (Ziggy) is still king.

Well, no matter where you go these days you're going to run into poser idiots. What they said to you is so stupid that the best thing to have done was probably just walk away. I actually avoid digital shooters like the plague because I am so sick of their oh so superior, condescending attitudes (which sorta sums up the whole yuppie mindset, doesn't it?). 100% of my experiences w/ them have been negative, and they never know what they're talking about. Life is too short for that nonsense.

What you ran into was a "real" jerk, and what Doug was "feeling" Rob was "oh my god, why am I talking to this moron?". If he had been talking to her at the time of course. You don't need a therapist to tell you that, and you don't need a weatherman to tell you which way the wind blows. Let us not over think the situation, which is abundantly clear. Funny story though. I got a chuckle from it, and must now find a therapist to tell me what I was feeling. Pfffft to that :]

Security at Airport

Security at Airport

Yesterday, coming back home, at the airport, I asked the TSA officer that I would like to have my bag with several film containers and my M5 loaded with Delta+400 checked outside the X-ray machine. He passed on to another officer that rubbed it with something to check for something, this last officer was so nice. He told me, that is the best camera I have ever seen. He told me he was retired from imaging, and he had sold his last Hasselblad camera couple of years ago. He asked me how much I paid for it because he may want to buy one after seen this one. He was aware of the M5 and always wanted to buy one.

BTW, on my original flight, the TSA officers were also very nice when asked about checking the film separately. Good for TSA.
