Would u wear a pair of google glasses just to be able to take pictures?

Of course, on the other hand, think of the bag savings for some - could be a godsend! 😉

In my area they started a map of the hot spots where smart phone theifs are at the highest. Given how obviously different these glasses look currently, I would have to agree w/ previous posters, it is like putting a sign up --> rob me....🙁

No. No google glass for me.

They would compromise my credibility as a human being and a photographer. It seems to me that people wearing them cannot be trusted, they might be taking a picture or filming at any time you meet them.

I would not want to be judged distrustful.

Furthermore, I would cover my face if I met anyone, anywhere who was wearing them.

Google Glass will be successful because it will be Affordable and portable. I don't think people will use it strictly as a camera, but more of an access device, just like the smart phone has sort of transform itself into a hitcher hiker's guide device. Just as Camera Phone hasn't replaced cameras, i don't think google glass will overtake cameras.

i can't wait. imagine the possibilities of comparison shopping, seeing an item and then googling on the fly to see how much it compares elsewhere. or watching pr0n....

Perhaps this will be the thing that leads to change in the privacy laws in the Uk - making it illegal to publish a person's image online without their permission. Sure, spy cameras are out there now, but google glasses just normalises things. They are a voyeurs dream come true.

Just great 😡 Now we have to worry about public toilets, using ATMs, and every other daily activity where we had a little bit of....common sense. YOU may find yourself on youtube or Facebook using a urinal.😡😡

Imagine all the things that occur during your day and anyone can be filming it anywhere without you even knowing it. Not just in urban areas or where a lot of crime is occurring.

We have met Big Brother and he is us.

All technology is susceptible for abuse. Movable type was the devil's spawn, realistic paintings were the devil's spawn, polyphony was the devil's spawn, Charleston was the devil's spawn, digital cameras are the devil's spawn...some things remain the same: presentation and reception.

However, how slow or fast this change is imposed on people dictates its success. Whether this is good or bad, depends greatly on how well it's conceived and produced, then how it is sold (literal and figuratively) to the masses.

I don't like it. Our lives don't need more automation/convenience. I don't know how to sum up everything I feel without going on a long winded rant about the state of our sh**ty society, and the path that its currently on, so I'll just leave it at that.

I would prefer to be able to shoot through my Percy Dovetonsils glasses while recording audio with my iDaisy.

I'm sceptical. Ever since I got burned as a seven year old when the X-ray glasses I bought at the local corner shop turned out to be, in modern parlance, an epic fail.

Should they take off, figuratively rather than like the jetboots, and they're taken up by nervous street photographer types I wonder what the publics feelings will be towards the camera toting photographers...and just how odd will that old rangefinder look then?!

Totally agree with you here on this. most people don't even know much about security measurents which should be taken while using a computer or smartphone. i doubt they will be more responsible while using those glasses.
Imagine how your position will be automatically updated as you use google services. You just beg to be robbed.
