Would you buy a Digital M with 3x3 Sensor?

Leica already made a square sensor digital camera albeit a scanning camera .. in fact they made three of them ... S1 Pro, S1 Alpha and S1 High Speed ... each uses 36mm square sensors .. each is usable with both R and M lenses and adaptors were available for Nikon and Hasselblad lenses ... including shift adaptors for perspective control ... The S1 High Speed is a 16 megapixel camera which was current until 2002 and apparently gives superb still life results ( each scan takes 18 seconds) ... There is an S1 for sale at MW Classic ... Many are in use with museums and art galleries.

Pictures of S1 here http://images.google.com/images?cli...a S1&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi

5 page article here ref archival photographs of the Unicorn Tapestries taken with an S1 digital scanning camera http://www.newyorker.com/archive/2005/04/11/050411fa_fact?currentPage=1
