Unrelated to what you said, Raid (in case anybody is wondering, because you *really* never know people's wandering minds). So...err...my mind is wandering (and wondering)...if we've already had a "Why wouldn't you hijack a Leica thread?" poll?

in true leica form they would be pretty impressive in their wide wraparound frame, say for reading, but not much use for those in need of long distance correction, say 135 feet and up LMAO.

Ah, yeah well, you'd be obsessive about cleaning too if you had the Finest Glasses Ever. Seriously, best ones I've ever had period. I got a rigid titanium frame from TAG Heuer that works very well in holding and keeping the lenses set and rigid. Between the 3 pairs, all the same exact prescription, I can switch sets without any shift in spatial awareness or prescription strength. The set with the higher index Tital glass has a slightly more 'effect', but not overwhelming compared to some other high index lenses I've gotten (plastic). The Titals are a bit heavier, with the titainium oxide mixed into the barium crown flint melt, and the light transmission is a bit lower as well, I use the Punktal for lower light levels, and the Titals for critical precision use. Once you get a set, its like your first B&W frames from a Zeiss lens compared to a bad cheap off brand slow zoom.

I generally consider myself lucky when I remember where my glasses are, let alone be able to define them in strictly engineering terms.

I'm holding out for Holga lenses on a nice kevlar impregnated graphite frame.

Not a problem due to the fungicidal properties of the coating.

The basic model doesn't have a built in rangefinder (or camera for that matter). Later models may have a built in vision-controlled camera - but I'm afraid that will have to be digital.

Of course! 🙂

Absolutely! The last layer of coating will be diamond, probably derived from Buckyballs (C60 fullerenes) or by high-speed brushing with carbon nanotubes.
