Wow, check this baby out - 2.1cm f4 modified for S mount.
Looks like a nice job.

I have such a lens as an SLR version for my Nikon F2.

I have it as an SLR lens but it would be nice testing one on S-mount!

It's a cool looking lens but it looks like it is lacking the lugs on the collar around the rear element to couple to the helicoid in the camera and therefore won't focus the rangefinder. At least, I can't see the lugs and there are three obvious ones on these lenses.
Neat but unless I can focus it, I'll stick with a CV lens.
Last year I tried for maybe 1/2 hour to figure out how to stick the optics of an f/3.4 Super Angulon into the CV 21mm SC Skopar mount. It can be done, for sure but the CV lens is much smaller internally so some machining would have to be done to properly do this hack. Regardless, I'd love a Super Angulon on any camera but would definitely love one on my SP. An issue that some would take with the mod would be that the front of the SA would rotate, negating the use of the rectangular hood. Easy fix since a Heavystar hood can easily be modified to not vignette and sit in those weird 48mm threads.

The F-mount version of this lens was scale-focus, so it would be fairly easy to modify it to RF mount but much more complex to add RF focusing.

I bought a CV 21/4 in S mount, while I still have the Nikkor 21/4 for the Nikon F2.

I have the 2.1cm Nikkor in F mount but with a cheap mount use it on my M1. This is the second 2.1cm lens that I have owned. I prefer it to the S/A personally, which I have owned, the lack of R/F coupleing is largely obviated by the depth of field. It works for me!

For those who want to use a classic 21 on a Nikon RF body and skip the modern CV stuff while staying on a reasonable budget, the vintage Biogon 21/4.5 in Contax mount is the must-have IMO.
Quite as good as the Super-Angulon (if not better because of very little vignetting if even any, and almost no distorsion) and fully RF-coupled.

A superb lens but I sold mine because I also had a 21/4 CV and a 21/2.8 Kobalux. The CV was worth next to nothing, and tiny, and the Kobalux is over a stop faster and still excellent. For those who want to use a classic 21 on a Nikon RF body and skip the modern CV stuff while staying on a reasonable budget, the vintage Biogon 21/4.5 in Contax mount is the must-have IMO.

Of course in Contax mount there's far less choice but you can put virtually any SLR lens on an RF (albeit not RF coupled) via a relatively inexpensive custom adapter. I use a 14mm Sigma on my Leicas and Voigtlanders.
Cheers,
R.
