Wow
Pardon me or my lack of knowledge but I always thought that there was no black G 35mm f2 lens ever made

However i finally saw one
and it sold for a whopping almost 6 times its chrome price

so that wraps it up
there is a black version for 21 28 35 45 90
and i have yet to see a black one for 16 (though once again, i read that there is no black hologon )

The odd thing is: the black color lens takes exactly the same kind of pictures, with the same bokeh, distortion, sharpness ... as a silver one does. Not 6 times as good, just exactly the same picture at 6 times the price.

I am so amazed at the waste of money here .. but I am frugal and think I have sense ... Which i do not really have since i write this reply to nothing but amazment at the market for designer colors in lenses. What next? Did someone already imvent photography? That would be quite worthwhile, indeed and instead.

Picked up my black set, body, 28,45,90 from KEH for about $1,100. Bouught a black 21mm w/ box and finder for about $750 if I remember correctly. Was able to sell the entire set on consignment for $3K. It helped to pay for my MP a la carte. It was a wise investment. I probably wouldn't have wanted to put out for the MP otherwise. Wonder how much I can get for my D200....nowhere near what I paid. That's for damn sure. The G system is great, if not a little finicky.
