Wow, there are two Noct-Nikkors on the 'bay, both from Vancouver.
I think I may know one of the sellers.
But, odd coincidence, to see two up for auction.
I'll be tracking the closing prices; I'm seriously thinking of putting mine up (and the two in Vancouver are nicer than mine)!

So what makes this such a special lens in comparison with the - much cheaper - Konica 1.2/57 or Rokkor 1.2/58, or Zuiko 1.2/55 etc... ?

As always, you should read KR with a grain of salt, but it is one of Nikon's most famous/sought after lenses (along with the 28/1.4).

It's one of the best Nikon lenses. That's it. I would never sell mine unless I sell all my Nikon gears. Great for low light, flower pics, etc. It has lovely special rendition wide opened. I'd say Nikkor Noct is the most Leica like lenses in Nikkor lineup. There are two versions with 7 and 9 blades... To make sure which one is which check the serial number and the Internet.
