wtb - clamp on hood

i'm looking for a clamp on hood that would fit a 100/3.5 lens.

my 42mm plastic push on lens cap fits so i'm thinking something around 42mm.

also, if you happen to know where i might find one.

the one that fits the 100/3.5 is a 36mm (push on) not the 42 i incorrectly stated before.

I have never seen the Canon hood for the later all-black Canon 100/3.5 lens with 40mm front filter ring. That's in two years of watching eBay, and going to the local camera shows.

mine is the 34mm filter size john.
and i think i have solved my problem.
i fitted a screw on hood on to a filter first and then tried to put the combo on the lens. after some difficulty i managed to thread it evenly and firmly on the lens.
i don't think i could take it off if i wanted.

anyway, if the lens turns out a steller performance i'll use it and if not it goes into my 'should have known better' box.
