I have a X-Fujinon 50mm f/1.9 FM lens. I have tried to locate a m4/3 adapter to use it on my E-P1, but I don't seem to find anything. Since it is its own mount, it is not very common.
Here is a more info about the lens:
http://www.pentax-manuals.com/fujica/lenses/x_50f19.htm
Attached a picture of the lens mount.
Any idea?
(the lens is rated at $10 - $14 used on the lazyweb, so it is more about fun and curiosity. I'm sure my 50mm 1.4 FD is way better)
Thanks !

THATS A FUJI BAYONET X MOUNT,EARLIER FUJINON LENSES WERE M42 SO THE ADAPTER YOU MENTION WON'T BE ANY GOOD WITH THAT LENS,YOU NEED FUJI X - M4/3 AND I DON'T THINK THEY EXIST AND IF YOU SEE ONE IT WON'T BE CHEAP EVEN IF IT COMES FROM CHINA.IT'S PROBABLY A DECENT PIECE OF GLASS,FUJI MADE SOME LOVELY LENSES,I HAVE A 55MM F1.8 FUJINON IN SCREW MOUNT AND ITS A NICE,WELL MADE PRIME.MAYBE BUY AN X MOUNT FUJI,THEY ARE CHEAP WHEN THEY POP UP.I HAVE A 50MM F1.2 CANON FD LENS I PICKED UP ATTACHED TO AN FTn BUT I'VE NEVER USED IT ON MY EP-1 AS I THINK THE ADAPTER/LENS COMBINATION IS TOO BULKY AND AM ENJOYING AUTOFOCUS AGAIN USING A PANCAKE.I HEAR THE F1.4 IS A BETTER LENS,WELL SHARPER ANYWAY BUT I GUESS THE 1.2 HAS THAT EXTRA STOP.PROBABLY ONLY MATTERED BACK WHEN FILM ONLY WENT SO FAST AND BEFORE IMAGE STABILISATION AND HIGH ISO'S.

Abbazz, where can I find a m43 adapter for that vt05? I have asked Dave Null and he wouldn't answer me.

The Fujinon-X lenses were extremely well regarded - amongst the best in their class.
The Fuji AX mount is unique, so my suggestion is to adapt an existing m4/3 adapter. The closest looks to be the Minolta MD with the same 43.5 register distance; "only" the bayonet mount would have to be modified. I have both a Fujinon lens and a Minolta adapter - I'll have a look at them tonight and see if there's hope!

I had a look at the mount. What is interesting is that the Fujinon-X mount has a wider diameter than the Minolta mount, so essentially the bayonet tabs will not fit within the MD mount. The overall diameter minus the bayonet tabs look like they would fit within the Minolta mount, though I'd want to check the measure more accurately to verify if further grinding would be needed. If this worked out, a quick way to mount the lens would be to grind off the bayonet tabs on the Fujinon lens and mount it within the MD adapter with epoxy. It's irreversible, so you could never use it on a Fuji camera again.
Anyone tried adapting Fujinon lenses?

I think I'll pass on doing modifications like that. Thanks though.
