No Get Well cards please
just for fun i took the same still life with the fuji xp1 with the fuji 35 and my nikon d7000 with nikkor 16-85 at 35mm. both at f8. i used a 300w daylight balanced globe in a silver reflector through a white umbrella at 1200mm 45 degrees x 30 degrees left side front.
same settings, same iso (1250), same lighting, all within a few minutes of each other. i used auto white balance and processed both in Capture 1. the only manipulation is cropping to square-ish.. no others, no clarity, noise, contrast, nada... here they are. the 'yellow' one is the nikon, btw.
and the apparent distortion on the outside of the pic, the candle appears to be leaning... that is because my table has a warp on one side
...
note sharpness comparison... the fuji rocks all over the nikon.

The best camera is one that still works!
I'd expect the Fuji prime to be sharper than the Nikon zoom though! Interesting that there is a little more flare around the candle with the Fuji lens.
