Here is the latest from Fuji Rumors:X-Pro 2 Rumor update

The X-Pro 1 was one of the few cameras that really caught my interest in past few years. I hope the X-Pro 2 improves the unique hybrid VF further. I could take or leave the increase in MPs and the tilt screen , but reliable AF and a top-notch manual focus interface through the OV would be key for me.

Sounds like an XT1 with an OVF.
Now that Fuji has a full complement of its own lenses, i doubt we will se any manual focus enhancements for the OVF - definitely not for legacy lenses.
All told i am a bit underwhelmed by this rumor.

Apsc...hope they would dare to go for a FF sensor. perhaps in a few more years...

Conversely, for me, the fact that it's APS-C is holding me back.
I've shot enough APS-C and am more than ready to go FF. Sony needs more competitors against the A7!

Hope they have a few creative surprises up their sleeves to keep the XPI momentum going, otherwise as mentioned this rumor as is, is a XT1 with Hybrid OVF.

Are u saying u want AF faster than the xt1 or least as good? Just curious since I thought u had a xt1 at one time....

Gary

At least as good, but I'm expecting better. Fuji has the slowest AF of the brands I use ... even the X-T1. I currently use a Sony A7r, an Olympus E-M1, and a Ricoh GR other than Fuji.

Yeah it is slow compared to my Panasonic gx7 or Olympus em5 and Nikon dslr. But I rarely use my Nikon dslr these days.

I have not used the xt1 yet..

I really don't need the bump in mp (a nice to have, but so long as I can get clean iso to 6400). The af speed would be nice. I would rather the sensor was the new organic one that Fuji and Panasonic are working on though...

High on the list for me is
- faster af
- the xt1 evf
- weatherproof
- a better grip built into body so I don't need to buy a rrs grip
- organic sesnor

I would love for them to do a Leica and come out w/ a pure monochrome version. I would buy this in a heartbeat over a dp2 Quattro since I shoot a lot of monochrome w/ the dp series cameras. Probability of this ever happening is zero, which is why I am going for the dp2q.

It's funny how most of these threads are started by, and commented by, people that are "holding back....wish it did xyz...don't like it's ABC..."

Meanwhile, thousands of people that are not posting, are happily buying and using these cameras.

Can you say, nay-sayer?

Most of them, but not this one...

a tilting screen would kill much of my enthusiasm for the x-pro2...and yet i want a fully articulated screen on a coat pocket camera...hmm...

less is more?

less is more?

I would rather have a lockable exp comp dial.
The back/display button I constantly hit accidentally,
Which gives me a blank screen.
Having fat thumbs, Q button gets pressed accidently, as does the ae/af button.
Maybe something that looks a bit like my old M8.
But works properly like the Fuji.

I need a new & faster computer, can't process Raw properly now!
No more Pixels thankyou.

A battery that will only go in 1 way?

Because there are not already enough different lens mounts that support FF sensors? Because Fuji would be wise to obsolete their existing, superb lens line?

Sorry, but I totally disagree. There are already more FF cameras and mount standards than the existing market demand can support.

If you don't want a tilt screen, don't tilt the screen. Personally I LOVE tilt screens -- particularly when they can be inverted so that they are protected/not visible. And the ability to frame at waist level or at arms' length overhead is wonderful.

same sense here. i waited to buy into fuji, holding out to see the XF lens line-up fill out, as i wanted the AF option (have RFs for MF lenses) in a small form kit. i am so pleased with the 18-55, 23, and 56 - size, performance, price, just excellent. i'd hate to see these lenses orphaned to full frame Fuji X bodies. really hoping that fuji stays with aps-c, matures the cameras & lenses like it has been doing, shows the kind of long-term digital product sensibility that engenders user loyalty.

edit: i've noticed that native AF lenses for FF mirrorless tend to be nearly as large as equivalent dSLR glass, which for me negates a large part of the advantage of going mirrorless. if fuji went FF, would their FF lenses retain the size of the XF line? probably not, at least for fast(er) glass.
