X-T10 Owners, Opinions.

Hey there guys,

Grabbed a XPro again with the lovely 18mm for the occasional color photo and family snaps.

While I have been waiting on my kit to arrive from abroad I've been drawn into the X-T line.

I really love the look and the layout of the X-T1, but used prices are right on the edge of what I would realistically spend on a camera im not going to use all the time.

The X-T10 looks likes a great camera as well considering its basically X-T1 in a smaller, lighter, less durable, but updated shell.

I was just wanting to hear some opinions from those here who have the X-T10 and maybe the X-T1 as well and wouldnt mind spilling the beans on their personal experience, loves, hates, and what you would recommend now you have had time with the camera. IS the X-T1 worth the initial jump, is the 10 going to make me lust for the 1? lol

The X-T10 is indeed one nice camera: I sold my X-Pro 1 and X100s to fund the purchase of my X-T10. I had been after the X-T1 but I could not afford it so when the X-T10 came out I read the specs and realised that the X-T10 was almost as good as the X-T1 so I bought one.
It's a little bit smaller and lighter but with the accessory grip that made it feel a bit better to hold- not as good a grip as the X-T1. It's not weather sealed but I can live with that. Other differences such as the better EVF on the X-T1 is nice but the X-T10's one is a good one. So, although it's not quite as good as the X-T1, spec wise and size wise, this is one wee bargain of a camera. I use it for street photography and it is really good and in some ways is a better choice over its larger brother plus the money saved can get you a few lenses and/or accessories too.

I just had my first day of shooting the 10. Amazing little tiny toy camera with serious imaging potential. I totally loved using it with the LCD completely off and using the EVF auto on upon eye sensor activation. A couple things I didn't like:
1. Mode Dial somehow rotated to a different setting and I shot two jpegs (instead of raw) without noticing. Kind of annoying, but have to be vigilant.
2. Size is so small that my hand was getting cramps all day from trying to hold it with the gordy wrist strap. And my hands are average, maybe even smallish.

I really liked the customizability of the camera, I can set and forget leica style (never owned one though). I have not chimped at all. Love the auto iso fully customizable and with 3 different sets available. Love the shutter speed dial, very quickly to change settings. Menu is too convoluted for me.

Although not in stock at the time a friend purchased the X-T10 (together with the 18-135mm) on a Black Friday double cash-back deal, being assured that it would be in store “next week”.

Two weeks on, yesterday he was informed by Park Cameras, London, that the X-T10 has been discontinued and replaced by Fuji with the X-A10, and that Park Cameras have no idea when and if they will be able to fulfil his camera body order.

Very odd that a camera less than two-years old should be discontinued, but stranger things have happened.

Can any UK RFF member confirm this?

Weird... I assume the X-T1 I have is discontinued, don't much follow the chatter.

Can we not expect a X-T20?

I have one, the images are good but I wish I'd sent it back because its frustratingly small. I have smallish hands but I keep pressing the buttons with my right thumb grr.

Would something like a Metro Case fit your hands better?

I have an X-T10 as well. It is, indeed, a small camera. This can be easily fixed with a $15 Chinese RRS knockoff grip.

Once I added that, the camera was much nicer to hold, and I use it for family snaps when my Leicas are impractical.

I bought it because of its size. I find the grip just fine. With the 27 its a very discreet camera, good evf, very good images. The unexpected surprise was how easy it was to transfer images to my son's iphone so he could share with his friends-he immediately said he wanted the camera!

With ZERO official knowledge of what Fuji is doing, nor have I seen anything on any Fuji-Rumor sites I may have been to in the past year......

Sounds like SWAT to me. Among other things, SWAT stands for Sell What's Available Today.

If you press and hold the 'Menu' button you can lock all the unnecessary buttons on the back

The Fuji Rumors website had an article a couple of days ago stating Sony has discontinued manufacturing the 16 MP sensor resulting in Fuji discontinuing the X70 and E2. The X-T10 uses the same sensor (I think) so I guess it's feasible that it is facing discontinuance as well.

Seems like short notice from Sony if this is the case.

I have bought a Chinese grip which does improve the handling a lot
