just got the x100 used for $650... at 50% of a x100s, i think it's a really good deal. wonderful camera.. takes great pictures of my family. Doesn't seem like you specified any requirements that would call for the need of the "s" model.

out and about...what kind of cellphone do you have? the sony qx100 looks like fun.
Perhaps you should have kept the Sony RX100 ...

No. I decided against it. I have the RX100 II coming. If it does not work out, I will not be buying anything to replace it. The two fujis and the ricoh work well.

Just got me a Mint boxed "black" X100 with all the bits that looks unused for £499 and from a reputable dealer with warranty! Bargain much?
Have to say I much prefer using the OVF as opposed to on the X-Pro1 which I use in EVF most of the time. The X100 is a great little street camera and I can't wait until the firmware update in only a matter of hours time now.

I don't but I like some other things about it. Sometimes, you just have to try something and rule it out. The GR is great, but sometimes I'm not a fan of 28mm.

FW update coming or not, the X100 Classic is a bargain at today's prices. I adore mine, but I often find my RX or the new EOS M in my pocket when I walk out the door.

I have both the XE1 and the X100 and much prefer the JPEG colors of the x-trans sensor. I understand you like to buy new gear (me too) but IMO the XE1 plus the 27mm pancake you have could cover the needs you described (take anywere camera).
I'm considering the opposite way, to sell my black X100 and buy the 27mm pancake for my XE1.

I love it but I just need to sell one camera and I am having a hard time deciding if I must keep the black X100 or the XE1.
I can use my M lenses in the XE1 and the IQ is great but I know I will miss the form factor and the viewfinder from the X100.

deciding can be tough...I held onto the xpro for longer than I wanted to because it is such a good camera but I just wasn't using it.
there are so many great choices out there now...

Nope, too cheap in feel when I actually held it.

i guess decide between fixed focal length vs interchangeable, and ovf/evf vs live-view-only, first. that will at least narrow down the options some.
