X100t Focus Ring Super Sticky in MF

Hi all. Do any other X100t owners have a super sticky focus ring in MF mode? The AF mode works fine, it's just that the turning mechanism seems to get stuck at times in MF. Any help or experience is appreciated. Trying to avoid sending it into Fuji for a $140 repair. I'm unfortunately out of warranty by about 3 months.

Yes, my x100 (original) has this problem. It's irritating, but since I use only back-button focus, it doesn't bother me enough to spend money on getting it fixed.

I once tried repeatedly turning the focus ring back-and-forth along its full travel for about 10 minutes (very tedious), in the hope of loosening it, but to no avail.

Just in case you were considering it, I certainly wouldn't try any kind of lubricant - this could turn the camera into a brick.

With my X100T the ring is graunchy when focussing with one finger (so applying an inward force on only one side). When using thumb and finger it's reasonably smooth - not as good as a decent manual-focus lens but not objectionably rough.
