X2 - Paul Smith Edition.... OK....

Would love to see 100th aniv edition with brass plates, vulcanite covering, no red dot, no EVF port (not big fan of that blocky part sticking out) but comes with small OVF.

I still wish they'll make 50mm version of X series camera...

kinda wish you looked at the previous comment, oh well,

cheers

Take the current lens and a manual helicoid focus mount and I'm in.
I was using my GXR with the ZM 21/4,5 for scale focus today and it worked out rather well.

The orange/green/lime X2 is sort of covert by it's overtness - it looks like no serious camera.

Check out the YouTube vid and hear about the provenance of this camera, more interesting than you might imagine. Some heritage here.

I love the style of this camera, why not? This is how it will be, watch out for the Leica smart device.

Paul Smith has also designed road racing bikes and works with Marcian, one of the oldest steel bike boutiques in the UK. His design is gorgeous. Let's loosen up a bit on this.

Paul Smith, while an accomplished amateur racing cyclist in his time (and with plenty of professional potential until an accident cut that short), has never designed a bike. However, he has worked with Mercian on colour schemes for their frames. And Mercian is not a 'boutique'. Beleive me - I've been there! :D

He's also applied colour schemes to Minis (twice - once for an art collection, and once as a Limited Edition).

Interesting link, thanks. And to be honest a few month ago, when this special edition came out I didn't like it at all. Now I think it's a fresh not serious look...not bad for my taste...

PS: maybe I can try to paint my three years old x1 :D

I like this one:

and this one:

a bit more than the Paul Smith edition.

Although I tend to prefer simple black cameras, there's nothing wrong with customized cameras ... there's a long tradition of re-covering cameras with different coverings. One of the prettiest Alpa 10d I ever saw had been anodized a deep, satin bronze-gold and had dark green leather coverings on it.
