I'd been thinking of buying one of these, then passed because I wanted to spend the money on an extra lens for my Koni-Omega. Went to a little camera show today, and there was a less than perfect XA sitting on a table for $35. I couldn't resist.
The film counter doesn't reset automatically, but it can be done with the back open. It also seems very sensitive to the sliding door position and it won't shoot unless it is just right.
Other than that, I think I'll be ok.
I plan to have it in my pocket pretty much all of the time.

The XAs are great little cameras. The perfect size to slip into a pocket and have a rangefinder with you wherever you go. The lens on the original XA is superb.

My wife gave one to me as a wedding gift in 1986 - it's been a faithful companion, although it doesn't get much use anymore.

While at the Eastman House gift shop yesterday, I was reading through a book on the history of Japanese cameras. Interestingly, it described the XA lens as "only adequate". That blew the credibility for the whole book for me.

It's a great little shooter, Steve. There seem to be a lot of web resource on who to service it.
