XA shutter fires when case is closed...

Hi everyone, have a small problem here.
My XA's shutter still fires when the clamshell/case is closed. I looked at the service manual and opened it up to have a look at the little switch that gets disconnected when the case is opened and reconnected when the case is closed. Cleaned it, looked at it, contact looks good, wires looks good everything looks just fine but the problem is still there...

Anyone have any ideas?

Could be a bad switch on the wind side, the one that lets the shutter fire when the back is open. John

i had the same problem too, but i fixed it by just opening up the lens cover and cleaned up the contact a little.. just be careful not to lose the small metal tube that provides the click (which i believe also part of the mechanism that lets it take a picture when cover is open and lock it otherwise).. it's not that difficult to do..
