Just bought a xa3 for a good price, the plan is to melt an 18 f2 on it, and use it mainly with manual focus/back button like i used to do with my dying x100t.
But i cant figure out how to do it and google isnt of much help either.
Anyone here with this camera?
Any other tips and tricks are appreciated too.

looks like it is do-able on the X-E3

(cant link it but change *** to *****************

but from my experience with the X-E2 and X-T2, the AF-On button has always been placed in an odd spot.

I've modified my previous X-T2 and my current A7RII with some sugru to have the BBF more easily accessible.

I had the XA1 and it was possible.
You need to assign one of the buttons if I remember correctly.
It was called "instant focus" or something like that in the menu.
It worked like the other fujis once set up.
The XA3 must be similar.

Like Earl says....Sugru is good stuff makes those buttons much easier to find!
Check out this Sugru job 😀

Only option I founds is to program
the fn button to instant af.
Ya seems to be the only way to do it, not ideal but think i can get used to it.
Also to make the camera completely silent, i think I will need to use electronic shutter...
with no fast moving subjects it shouldnt be a problem, right?
