XF- 60 mm macro

I've just sold my X-Pro 1 & X100s and bought an X-T10. When using the XF-60 with the X-Pro 1, to do macro or close focus images the camera had to be set to macro mode via the four way pad but, do I need to do that with the X-T10? My understanding is that the X-T10 has an automatic macro mode but, as I'm just new to the camera, haven't yet found out whether that is the case.

The new fw in the xt1 now does not require a macro setting. It repurpose the four way control (up) for af mode. Since the xt1 fw update is derived from the xt10, I would assume that it works the same.
