XP2 and B&W filter

Hi,

I was wondering if filters used for traditional B&W photography (e.g. red and orange etc) will work the similar with theC41 processed XP2 films?
Any experience?

Yes; they'll work the same way as with any current conventional panchromatic B&W film.

The sensitivity chart at Ilford is the same as the Delta products, so you should be able to use similarly.

I do usually downrate the film when using orange filters.

Sure, they even work with digital. It is all about color -- orange filters lighten colors near orange on the spectrum and darken other colors, particularly blue. Here is a black and white digital photo taken with an orange filter:
