Hi

I used some XP2 film for the first time with my M6 and brought it to the local Wallgreens to get developed /scanned and all the negs and scans have a tin type ambro color to it! I can fix it PP but was wondering if this is normal! does anyone know of a better local place that can develop this film ,thanks!

from the XP2 datasheet:
Negative appearance
Correctly processed XP2 SUPER negatives are usually pink or red-brown and slightly darker than other black and white negatives. Although the exact image colour will depend on the method of processing. Such variations will not usually affect the image quality.
Processed XP2 SUPER negatives will lose their overall pink colour when washed for a particularly long time or when exposed for long periods to daylight. This affects neither image quality nor printing time. It is caused by the bleaching of the small amount of sensitising dye that remains in the emulsion after processing.

I have my XP2 processed then scan it at home. The sepia tone seems to be normal and as you stated is easily corrected. Kodak BW400CN tends to scan with a slight green hue which again, is easily corrected. I like both films with a slight preference for XP2.

This means nothing...simple matter of dialing in slightly different settings during the printing phase. Your negs are unaffected, easy-peasy to fix if you're using Photoshop, etc.
