Just bought myself some XP2 rebranded available from Ultrafineonline for $1.50 a roll of 24.

Hmm, not seeing that price on their website. It's $2.69 there.

How are you getting it developed? I've heard stories about drugstores refusing "pro" films (i.e., anything they don't also sell), even though C-41 is C-41.

This would be timely as I just realized that my local Walmart no longer carries BW400CN.

i thought Ilford NEVER gave film to be re-branded. I remember an ilford representative stating that in an APUG thread about Kentmere film. Kentmere film for example is produced by Ilford, but only sold with the Kentmere brand.

so are you sure about this?

There's Agfapan below at the lower price. Maybe the OP confused the prices. I recently got three rolls of XP2 developed at an expensive pro lab in Boston and they didn't do a particularly good job. It made me even more focused on home development.

I'm sure I read somewhere ages ago that Fuji had a C41 black and white film available in Great Britain that was actually made by Ilford as Fuji themselves had never manufactured such a film.

You'd have to assume it was XP2!

In 2001 I bought a bunch of Fuji-branded single-use b&w cameras loaded with some C-41 film. I don't know what it really was, but the results were nice - could've been XP-2, I guess....

Ah, lot of 40 rolls, that explains it.

That would take me quite a while to use up. What's the expiration date on the lot you bought?

Hi,

i have been using the private label XP-2 for a while now, it has the same blue tinge when developed using B&W chemicals.

here's another link from ultrafineonline:

I like to use rodinal full stand with this film, here's an example of XP-2 Super with Rodinal on a XA:

These are the cassettes (as they appear on EBay and Ultrafineonline) inside a plastic canister, and 50 of these in a black plastic bag- no expiration date !
I believe when you by the 50 roll offer, shipping is included.
40 rolls can take a while, but one can freeze these. ;)

I think Ultrafineonline sells individual rolls on their web store for $2.69, but sell 40 and 50 roll lots on Ebay. The price varies, but with a little perseverance, you can find and get an auction "Buy Now" for about $1.30 per roll. They seem to change lot sizes and price in no particular order, making more on some and not others. Hope this helps...

Yes, they have on ebay 40 rolls for $55 and free shipping. That would be about $1.37 per roll of 24 exposure film.

Rebranded XP2

OK, I will try this too. We'll see what happens and let you know my experience. Until somebody tells me that Foma 200 in 135 is back, I'll try anything once.
