Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know something/anything interesting either technical or manufacturing facts about the XPan cameras?

You seem to know a lot about all the Leicas, everything about everything.

I am curious.

Well,

You probably know this one already. But, the Xpan is made by Fuji. In Asia marketes as the Fuji TX1 or TX2. The 30mm lens available for the camera is one of the sharpest in its class yielding incredible contrast andhardly any CA.

I'm thoroughly enjoying mine... I hope my film survived the trip back from the Jewel of the Black
Sea... I didn't make it as far as St. Petersburg yet, but I spent quite a while shooting sunset panos
with the XPan :)

I'm planning to take the film over to the lab tomorrow evening...

XPAN Polarizer

You can buy a 58mm and a 49mm polarizer to cover all of the lenses.

Alternately, I use a 72mm thin B+K with adapters for the 45/90 and the 30.

I tested these arrangements and there is no vignetting with either arrangement. Of course, with this setup, you cannot use the 49/58mm hoods.

I hope this is useful.
