Hi there,

Xpander here. I have a 270 second Xpan-I that is in really great shape that I use with the full quiver of glass. I got it about 16 months ago and have found it to be stellar in my work. But I also got it for long terms projects, hopefully some 15-20 years from now on the outside.

Either way, I need some feedback as to how these things have held up over a 5-8 year stint on the same body. You know, full time use. What little maladies, if any, have crept in over that time?

I know the lenses are golden, It is the electronic bodies I have concerns about.

How can I improve the time game in my favor?

Frankly, I've heard that the body wears a little fast. And you know it's no longer being produced, although maybe the Fuji original is?

So maybe...if a pickup a second body then treat this gear like a rice paper 4x5, I'll be OK for 10-20 more years.

Mine is pretty battered looking [the black finish wears off and scratches very easily] but mechanically [or electronically] no problem at all.
Hasselblad have said that although the camera is now discontyinued that they will cintinue to support it for "at least ten years" .
I suspect that used prices might actually rise in the short term, although right now used bodies seem to be fairly reasonable.
