Is there likely to be a problem with a 28mm Zeiss or Elmarit lens on this camera with the Fuji adaptor? Would it be best to just wait for the dedicated Fuji 28?

really not the first thread on this topic but ...
... it is 99% certain that there WILL be an adapter (many probably) to use M lenses on X-Pro1. But as nobody really knows what kind of manual focusing (modes and such) will this camera offer - it really is too early to do anyhing better than wildly speculate.

how on earth could anybody know that yet?
The dedicated lenses will be more convenient, what with AF & aperture control, etc. Likely more compact, lighter. Yet to be seen how sophisticated are the adapters, and how expensive.
