Except when pegged at 24mm, this is an amazing lens(1). The performance when pegged at 10mm is shockingly good.
I used five Nikkor zooms with similar fields-of-view and the Fujinon outperforms all of them.
Part of the performance has to do with FUjifilm's excellent on-board software correction parameters. However ghosting levels from bright sources (namely the sun) is superior to all the Nikkors.
(1) The MTF (resolution) at 24 mm is lower than shorter focal lengths.
That was shot from a country road just a bit south and west of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. The waterfall scenes are from Big Hill Springs Provincial Park, a little north east of Cochrane. Both spots are within 45 minutes drive of Calgary.
