When are they going to get cheap.
$300-$400 range by ....?
Will the 24mp Xtrans-3 be just too tempting as the Xpro-2 becomes more readily in stock and help owners dump their XT-1's ?
My XE1's are so slow to buffer. It's driving me nuts!
I'm just too cheapo maybe

There are grey market ones for sale for 699 at the moment as per fujirumors.com. Shouldn't be long to get down with the x-t2 on the way.
At X-T2 time, of course. When more used ones are on the market there will be an over supply and the price will drop...
It's still the second best ICL body Fuji offers. Maybe go to the X-E2.

The Newest firmware and the XE2
The Newest firmware and the XE2
That's the way I am going... a used XE-2 body with the latest firmware is said to be equivalent to the Xt10, and can be had for from $300 - 400 on the used market. Me for that.

the 'hidden' gem in the fuji line-up is the xe2 with firmware upgrade.

i think more folks are looking at waiting for new versions of cameras like the xt2...wanting to get new cameras like the xpro2...view the xe2 as an update late in coming (which it is)...but the xe2 is largely ignored.

It might be but .... I want that big vf and fast write speed.
Will keep using the xe1's when I need a bit of flash built in.
The flash is the inly reason I would choose the Xe 1/2 over XT-1.
The XT1 just seems more finished.... More powered up for some reason.

i would have bought into the xt1/xt10 but i don't like that hump in the middle...

Price wise the xe-2 is only around $150 cheaper than the xt-1. I imagine most people find the larger EVF, extra dial, faster write speeds, weather sealing, electronic shutter, AF tracking, tilt screen, faster EVF FPS, better build quality etc. etc., worth the step up in cost.

I thought the same for the last 2 years.
Then,... I used an XT1 for a day. The hump pretty much disappears when one is looking through the VF :roll eyes:
Actually the extra dial and controls are more bothersome.
I grip the camera in one hand when not in use..... there are all sorts of things to accidentally touch when holding the XT1 versus XE1/2 or Xpro1.
Some day maybe there will be an XE3/4 with a similar large Mag VF and computing performance.
It will be years before I buy a highly discounted used version of one of those.
The XT1 is the next one to target.

truth be told i bet it's the lenses that keep many of us fuji users...i have played with the xt10 and found it too small for comfort...the xt1 was actually pretty comfortable and if a good, well priced body ever appears i might have to give it a shot.

It's the bodies for me... X-Pro2. Most companies have great lenses (though not as pretty as Fuji).

Ride, dive, shoot.
Rumor (pretty much confirmed) says there will be a Fuji sales event (at least in the US) starting on 5/22. That includes $300 off for X-T1, and finally a discount of $100 for 35/2.

The lenses are wonderful In my case the lenses are a significant part of the equation.
If I did not enjoy using the cameras (OVF/EVF) and I did not appreciate the IQ (SNR and dynamic range), the lenses wouldn't matter.
