Yashica coatings

I'm must say I love the shots I get from my electro, G and GSN. I contemplated taking one apart (which is broken..BLAH! a 'like new' GTN too) and getting someone to hack an EF adapter mount to it so I can use it on my 10d, but I realized this won't work with range finder lenses on SLR's. :bang:


So I was wondering. Is anyone here well versed in yashica's coatings who can recommend one of their SLR system lenses that is similar in quality to the G series? Its a wonderful lens and would like to use it on my digital camera as well.

I bought a yashinon DS 50 1.4 in m42 mount because I to love those yashica lenses, I use it on a 5D with a m42-ef mount adapter. Here is a sample pic.

It may not be the sharpest lens around but it has that not so in your face sharpness of the canon ef 50 1.4 and the soft tones and contrast transitions of the classic yashica lenses.
