Hi
I recently acquired a Yashica FC. In the web is very little information on this model :bang: Unfortunately I could not find manuals. Will be glad of any assistance.

Try here: http://www.yashica-guy.com/document/chrono2.html
Look toward the bottom of the page. The FC looks like the little brother of the GSN. It also looks like it could be a competitor to the Olympus 35 ECR.

I haven't found manual for FC. Mainly it differs by flash capabilities. Does it really lacks distance scale (I mean, numbers), having only symbols? I lusted for FC, though decided not to make internal competition for 35 MC (small body, same f2.8, carry-around) and G35 (large aperture, coupled RF).

focusing ring have symbol on top side (see photo) and distance in m/ft on bottom side. also on lens I found strange switch marked "GN" with setting between 10-40m. I think that its related to flash control, but this is only my guess.
about comparison with GX & MC
1. MC & ME do not have a split image rangefinder. FC have it.
2. FC have weight 430g, but GX is 580g. FC slightly more compact than GX
3. FC have 2.8/40 tessar lens, GX - 1.7/40 planar

GN scale supports flashmatic system. Look at http://www.provins.org.uk/ ->Instruction books -> Yashica Electro 35 MC -> Flash photography. I think it works on FC same way as on MC.
