Yashica minimatic-C shutter problem

A friend's Yashica minimatic-C has developed a problem. It is not possible to cock the shutter anymore. The cocking lever is blocked halfway through. Pushing the shutter-button is possible but does not lead to anything. The problem occured at the end of the last roll. He pushed the shutter button albeit the shutter was not fully cocked, so to say. He inherited the camera from his dad. If possible I would give a repair a try, but do not know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It happened to me once. I opened the back and i pressed the rewind button on the bottom of the camera. Then i tried to roll the camera's spool with my fingers. It worked for me, i never had this problem again, so it might have been pure luck....
Give it a try, you never know...

Thanks! I tried it, but no success. I also removed the top and baseplate but can't identify the location where the lever is blocked.
