I bought a Yashica FX70 quartz at a boot sale for £5 recently. As usual, the covering had turned into a slimy mess so I recovered it with leather from an old handbag. The light seals were gooey so I replaced them with the light trapping material from an old film canister. You can buy a bespoke recovering kit on Ebay for $12 which just needs glueing on. The meter in my example is spot-on and the Yashinon 28-85 lens that came with it is first class. Even though I have better quality cameras, this one has become my favourite SLR. It handles so well and the macro facility is really useful.
