Yashica Technician in Australia?

G'day!

I have two Yashica Electro 35 cameras - the originals. Both are cosmetically very good and the lenses are perfect.

Is there a technician in Australia who is able to fully CLA these for me and carry out any needed repairs?

If not, then where do I send them please?

Hi Peter, I've used Sydney Camera Repairs in Ashfield several times and always found them good. Not sure how they'll go with Yashica but probably worth contacting...

Try Yoshi at Nagami Camera Services in Melbourne, he offers Yashica repair and service. He has repaired serviced a few LF lenses for me and done a very good job. Also Camera Clinic.

I have heard of Mark Hama but the cost of insured post both ways will be daunting - still, worth a try.

@archivist, too many (in your sig)? I have a few of these too.

I concur that they need servicing, unless they've already been overhauled. I can't help with names in Australia, but Mark Hama is a real pro and @Frontman here on RFF does a great job with these in Tokyo.

I suspect any good camera technician can do the job, unless they need parts.
