I finally loaded my old YK up with a fresh roll of film, and then I discovered that the rf will not focus at infinity. Has anyone any experience adjusting the rangefinder on any of the first-generation Yashica fixed-lens rangefinders?
From the look of things, it seems that I will likely have to pop the top off, there are no screws hidden in any of the usual places. I imagine that the adjustment is the same as on the Yashica 35, the YL, and possibly the M, so if anyone has gotten into the guts of any of these old beauties I would love to get some tips.
Otherwise, I have a strong suspicion that the roll that I have loaded is the first roll that has ever been put in this camera, the slot that holds the leader on the spool was so tight that I actually had to pry it out a bit and reform it just to get the film loaded, and that seems like something that one would only ever have to do once. Imagine that. 52 years on a shelf, just waiting to be taken outside.

Hi, Greyscale. You will find a little screw in the front of the camera near the viewfinder window. Unscrew it and you can get to the adjustment through the hole. Cheers, Jan.
