Today, yellow's what I got, so yellow's what I am posting.
I feel like I am having some challenges showing the full saturation of the subject here. Something about throwing out all that data for posting here is knocking down the saturation . . . kind of like the treble goes missing with today's music streaming services. I guess there is no free lunch. 😉
So I wind up tweaking the saturation in PS Camera RAW on my monitor to try and compensate. Sometimes winds up looking like a postcard . . .
Nikon Z8, 100/2.8 Macro at ISO64. I do think you can see a difference in the output between ISO 64 and ISO 500, although unless you have the files side by side you'd often not notice. That native ISO though.... woof -- it is like looking at the world with the eyes of a 20 year old.
So this is with the 90AA on my recently fixed M9 with its new non-corroding sensor glass. I have to say it is nice having it back in action. But this file was dang weird in its original form. Color balance was all off -- very green/yellow. Almost like the M9's sensor didn't know what to do with so much . . um. . . green and yellow. I had to dial in a lot of vignetting in Adobe Camera RAW and decrease exposure by a stop to get the colors even close. Exposure was 1/45 of a sec. f: 5.7 at ISO 160, auto (aperture priority) center-weighted average metering. Lens was mistakenly coded as a 35 Summicron . . . could that have done it?
