I use a regular backbag. I may put some clothes in there for padding. I dislike carrying any bags, and shoulder bags are especially uncomfortable.

I think the key is to find a bag that is wide enough, so pressure is not exerted on the camera front. That's one of the only weak spots of the Rollei, because you can knock the focus out of alignment. So, I always put mine sideways in to the bag. Try a Domke J803, it's 1-1.5 inches wider than the standard 803 and doesn't look like a camera bag. The square-ish Billingham L2 (Alice) is also really nice for a TLR (and Leica M), but a little flashy looking, depending on what color combo you pick...try black/black or sage...

Here's one I'm going to use, I got it at a Levis store, it is heavy canvas, has some padding and doesn't look like a camera bag. There was a inner cloth divider that I had sewn against the lining so the camera wouldn't hang up on it putting it in and out.

I have been using it for my 35mm kit and one lense and some film it the front pocket.

I use a Billingham Hadley, and it works fine, but I think the Rolleiflex is just a tiny bit too wide for it to be perfect - I find it a little tight sliding it in and out. It looks like a Billingham 106 might be a slightly better fit.

I am using a Crumpler Pretty Boy XXL for walkabouts. I can stuff my Rollei Automat, Sekonic L-398 (or Pentax Spot), filters, shade and a few rolls of film in it. Works great. I have had a few Rolleis with the NRC case and I hate the cases, no matter what Harry Fleenor says. Dust is everywhere and dings can happen anytime. An old NRC case isn't the end-all for protection. They aren't very well designed, IMHO.

I found a couple of the soft leather jackets made for the GX for $50 ea. A lot nicer in daily use than the old hard brown ERC's. They fit by a plastic baseplate that slides on over the Rolleifix groove around the tripod hole/back release plate and snaps in place, so it works unmodified on my 2.8F but on my older type MX that doesn't have the groove, I had to drill a hole opposite the tripod thread and put in a screw purloined from a torn ERC I found in the trash at a camera store once. One shot shows the whole shebang in my Billingham Panexia bag.

Just bought a Bally bag, they said designed mostly for people using photographic equipment. No pads though but found an homemade solution. Used to have a Combi specific, but did not like it. The new bag is so much better.
Price is $550, a bit expensive yet I cannot walk around the streets of Paris without respecting the fashion atmosphere ... and these bags last a lifetime.

Tamrac Aero Zoom 25. 20 bucks at a local camera store. JUST big enough to hold my Rolleiflex. Less is more.

You should check out "Crumpler".

It's a smart bag with great protection and easy access. It also doesn't look like your typical camera bag but a casual bag for everyday use. I currently use the 7 Million Dollar bag that nicely fits two Rolleiflex F 2.8 plus a rangefinder. This bag has lots of compartments for film, accessories, etc.

You can also attach tiny bags to the sides of the main bag if you need more carrying capacity. I have a light meter and a small battery bag right now for easy access. Hope this helps.

Not sure to have read about it... I'm using a Lowepro Nova Micro, it fits perfectly a Yashica mat or a Rolleiflex. There is room for a few accessories in the front pocket.
