Yet another Microsoft Internet Explorer Bug!

How is Chrome? Haven't tried it. Any reason to switch from Firefox?

It is more lightweight and much faster than FF, also I think it has a slightly better UI, but that is personal preference. It has extensions like FF, but not as many. Also, it doesn't pop up annoying windows to update said extensions when all you want to do is browse the web. That said, many people still prefer FF, it does seem to beat chrome is terms of extensibility.

A question- what e-mail client do you folks use?

I use webmail (gmail), as I cannot find a standalone client that suits my preferences (ie. as lightweight as possible).

As a user, I've always thought FF (and its predecessors) was bloated, slow, buggy, and annoying. As a developer, the only good thing I have to say about it is "At least it's not IE." I'm very glad to not be stuck on Windows.

I've tried Chrome and found it (on a Mac) to have no advantages for me over Safari. i find the combined address/search bar annoying. They are two different things. It costs me more time than it saves, though I could see that being different for people who use the mouse more.

pretty good

pretty good

depends on your particular platform and sites, but for me, it's quite a bit faster than firefox or IE for most things. It's my default browser.

For email, I usually use outlook and gmail, sometimes with zsentry.

Another vote for Google Chrome here. Firefox just started seeming really bloated after I started w/ Chrome, (I use WinXP and Linux).

I have ot use IE6 at work due to a custom designed GIS software. Chrome and current vers. of IE are the only software over Firefox, Safari, and Opera that the software seems to work with.

If I could totally abandon IE I would, Chrome is my daily browser.

I'me quite happy with firefox. It's a little slow because I haven't cleaned it's files -cookies, caché, etc whatever. since 2008. It's interesting to see what it has saved.
Sometimes I use Opera in the laptop. This one is quite fast and nice.

My uncle used only IE at first, I tried to convince using something different, but nothing would do; Until Chrome came out, now he's just always using chrome and sometimes IE.

People still use IE?

Firefox for me. Can't wait until 4.0 comes out of beta mode, looked a beast of a browser when I tried it but most of my addons aren't yet supported for it.
